Simple Solution for Every Salmon That Swims, May 17, 2011 By This review is from: Okuma Convector Star Drag Line Counter Reel (Sports) I own 8 Convectors and for a highly functional reel at a great price, they simply can't be beat. Had three of the #20 size first, but when I went to get more I chose the smaller #15 size. With braided line they hold enough line for any salmon fishing on the planet and the drags are the same size as on the #20 size so overall I got a smaller, lighter reel that with the linecounter does everything I need it to. Included power handles are the way to go!!! Dollar for dollar, Convectors can't be beat.

Ordered it but never received it(said delivered on tracking)(live in a not so great apartment). Amazon was prompt with the refund of money as I needed one right away and before they could get another to me. I picked one up at a local store for $10 more.
I got this for my girlfriend so that when we go out on charters in the ocean, she will know how deep she is. Helped her with trolling and not tangling up with me or the person on the other side of her. Also when were mooching, and she finds her sweet spot in depth, she can go right back to it without question.
Very nice and sturdy. have used it for almost a year now. So far it seems very durable as they tend to get beat up on an open charter boat with rowdy guys. The crank is smooth and the depth guage is extremely easy to reset. We have had no problems with the self guided line setup yet either.
