Excellent softwater reel, August 14, 2011 By  Prevost Alain (Bordeaux) - See all my reviews    This review is from: Abu Garcia 4600C3 Ambassadeur C3 Baitcast Round Reel (3 Ball-Bearing, Gear Ratio 5.3:1, Capacity 10/170) (Sports) I use this reel with a Abu Garcia Agenda parabolic rod. This was my first baitcaster and I fell in love with it the first day I tried it out. Smooth star drag. It won't give you bird's nests if you set the reel correctly first off. What I do is set the reel to offer a good bit of drag on the lure when you release the clutch; cast a few times with that setting and progressively ease off on the drag as you go along. In about five minutes time, you can fish with minimum drag on the lure. You can fish hours on end without getting tired. Definitely a very fine reel... that makes learning how to baitcast easy!
