Smooth reel, awkward ergonomics, June 22, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Quantum Energy PT SS Baitcast Reel (Sports) This reel has a smooth retrieve and is fairly trouble free once you figure out how to set everything up. I still get an occasional backlash with this reel but I will admit that I am no pro so most of that is most likely my own fault. My biggest gripe with this reel is the feel when "palming" the reel during the retrieve. The ACS3 cast control knob juts out from the side plate which doesn't feel natural in your hand. I have a Shimano Curado and a Pinnacle Optimus XTHS. Both of these reels feel much more comfortable in your hand.
